Capstan
Capstan’s fortunes plummeted even faster than the rest of the tobacco industry from 1971, when the UK government introduced health warnings and released tar and nicotine content information. Capstan cigarettes were the brand with the dubious title of the highest nicotine content in the UK, and were still topping these tables by 1975. The company, owned by Imperial Tobacco, still exists, but their cigarettes are no longer widely available.
